Membership & Entry Fee's
 

1. The Southern Catfishermen Association membership is $20.00 for a single membership and $30.00 for Family. You do not have to be a member to compete in any of the SCA tournaments.

2. Memberships will run from January 1st till December 31st

3. Memberships will not be granted unless a Membership application form is first filled out.

4. Entry Fees are $100 dollars a team, Big Cat entry is Included.

6. Classic Entry Fees will be $200 dollars a team.

 

 



Payouts
 

1. 80 % payout on entry fees during all SCA events. 10 % of entry fees goes to the classic pot. 10 % of enty fees goes to the Southern Catfishermen Association.

*1-9 Boats pays one place 1st place = 60%, Big Cat = 20%

*10-19 Boats pays two places 1st place = 40%, 2nd Place = 25%, Big Cat = 15%

*20+ Boats pays three places 1st place = 40%, 2nd Place = 20%, 3rd place = 10%, Big Cat 10%

2. 90% Payout on Classic entry fees

 * Classic will pay three places  1st place = 40%, 2nd place = 25%, 3rd place = 10%, Big Cat 15%

3. All proceeds will go to the SCA and used to help promote this organization and it's events.



Classic Eligibility
 

1. Top Five teams out of each SCA qualifiying event will be eligible to compete in the Southern Cats Classic.

3. Top Two teams from any SCA tournament will be eligible to fish in the Cabelas King Kat Classic.

4. Top Two teams in any other "Catch and Release" Catfish Tournament is eligible to compete in the Southern Cats Classic.

6. Big Cat of the year will go to the SCA member who catches the largest catfish during the 2008 tournament year, including the classic.



Points System
  No Points This Year......I feel there's enough big tournaments around that we need to support.

Rules and Regulations
 

1. Only Blue, channel, yellow (flathead) catfish, 5 fish limit per team.

2. All Game & Fish regulations must be followed.

3. No Jugs, Trotline, hand grabbling, limb lines, etc. allowed (ROD & REEL ONLY!)

4.   All tournaments are catch and release. All fish brought to the scales will be come the property of SCA and will be released back into the body of water from which they came. No Dead Fish Will Be Weighed.

5. No Alcoholic beverages.

6. No fishing within 40 yards of anchored tournament boat.

7. Any legal, commercial or natural bait will be allowed.

8. All ties will be broken by coin toss or winning teams may split prize purse if both teams agree.

9. Anyone caught cheating or breaking tournament rules will be disqualified from tournament and all future events.

10. No use of cellular phones or walkie talkies to convey fishing information.

11. No snagging.

12. A team consists of no more than two persons, children under the age of 15 may accompany a team but may not aid in catching fish in any way.

13. Bank fishing is allowed within sight of your boat.

*14. You may trailor in all SCA events. 

15. All teams must qualify to fish the Classic. Only SCA members may qualify for Angler of the year or Big Fish of the year awards.

16. All protest brought to the Tournament Director must be in writing with-in 15 minutes of the conclusion of the weigh -in. The Tournament Director’s rulings will be final.

17. All participants are subject to Polygraph test at random.
